Cloud Gazing (2022) is a body of work depicting surreal cloud scapes that is reminiscent of star gazing both can allow the mind to drift off into a dream state. Described as painterly photography, each piece consists of multi-layered cloud photographs with varying hues and formations gathered over the last five years. In addition, a channeled poem corresponds with each work acting as a guide to navigate the unseen world via our internal world. Overall, the work highlights the ephemeral nature of clouds and shares parallels with Life’s transiency. The aim of these works is to create a space for viewers to shift their focus from the everyday and cloud gazing can be a helpful tool to process internal problems creatively allowing space for intuitive insights to flow freely.
