ArtWorld Studio Piano
Astrid has been teaching piano for over 40 years. A qualified teacher and member of the QCT (Queensland College of Teachers), she has mastered the techniques of both Suzuki and AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) Syllabus styles. Having taught over 600 students ranging from 6 to 86 years of age, Astrid’s past students are performing, enjoying, and studying music at the Conservatory of Music; some of which are performing privately and locally in bands.
Lessons range from 1-hour lessons to 45-minute lessons depending on the age and availability of students. Both Performance and Theory of music are part of a single lesson. Theory is incorporated within each lesson and it is shown in each technique learnt during the course of the lesson. Pupils can enjoy the lesson just to gain the technique and understanding of the piano, or can take part in AMEB examination to gain qualification in piano studies. The combination of techniques taught has shown Astrid that the student gains both ease of playing with confidence whilst gaining fluent sight reading techniques. Please make an appointment to see the teaching space where students gain performance confidence, and play on a Kawai upright grand and concert grand piano. All students receive encouragement by attaining graduating medallions and trophies. The costs for private lessons are:
