Self taught portrait and landscape painter, Chris Sullivan works in oils and acrylics. Chris learned the basics at high school in Geelong. He moved to the Gold Coast, started painting abstracts in oils occasionally, whilst playing guitar in Gold Coast band “the Fool”, over the next two years.
Now married and father to three children, Chris had a painting hiatus for the next 15 years. He took up the brushes again at the end of 2014 and developed his current style.
Chris has exhibited in group exhibitions including at Drawing Point Gallery, Ipswich in 2016. And a Gold Coast show in 2015. He was also a finalist in the Artworld Studio Gallery portraiture prize and has been commissioned to paint several portraits.
“In Daylight and Distance” is Chris' debut solo exhibition.
