Clay Building Workshop 1

Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 July 2017.
Saturday 10am to 2pm & Sunday 12pm to 4pm
$150 for the two days. Cost includes all materials.

Working in clay is the most flexible and giving of art media. Clay is the most inexpensive material, found almost anywhere and often requiring little processing.

In this workshop participants will learn the basic techniques to build clay objects using a slab roller, cutting tools and the pottery wheel.

The two-day workshop includes coiling techniques, template construction and basic elements of design.

You can build further from workshop 1 by taking part in workshop 2 where you'll be shown basic glazing techniques to complete your clay object after bisque firing.
