Books are a powerful form of expression, offering many possibilities and challenges to an artist. Introductory binding formats, concertinas, and books which may transform back into flat sheets of paper will be instructed. Participants are encouraged to bring samples of their art to learn how they may be incorporated.
Participants are encouraged to supply their own notebook/visual diary, a utility knife/X-Acto, any papers desired for experimenting (magnani, Fabriano, Somerset, BFK, rice papers - a combination of heavy and thin papers is recommended), preliminary sketches and reference material, and spare magazines for the collage exercise. These items will be available for purchase on the day from the ArtWorld Studio Gallery Shop.

In compliance with Workshop Health & Safety regulations, all participants must bring their own aprons and wear closed-in shoes.
