The body of artworks relates to a concept born from a radio show discussing Darwin's Natural Selection theory. The original idea was to create a body of work titled ‘An Unnatural Selection’, with artworks that did not quite seem to work together being forced into a cohesive whole.

Artist Bio
With no formal art training, Chris returned to his practice in 2014. He is currently mentored by Artist Astrid La Fleur and is one of the stable artists in ArtWorld Studio Gallery. “A Natural Selection” is the second solo exhibition for Chris in a short time and whilst his style is naturally seen as Landscape, Chris’s art practice is taking him into several different directions. He is developing and visiting the abstraction technique enabling Chris to create and evolve further in his art practices.
Chris has a unique, realistic painting style that captures the elements of the landscape whilst enhancing the beauty that nature brings to all his artworks. Chris spends time with his family whilst capturing them at rest and play in several artworks within this exhibition. Family time and painting are at all time a priority in Chris’s busy life.
