WORKSHOP: Mosaic Techniques with Astrid La Fleur

Mosaics are an art form in which murals are made using tiny tiles or pieces of paper cut into geometric shapes to create a picture. In this workshop, participants will be using tiles, and shown the process of cutting and gluing, with a final stage of grouting. We will familiarise participants with mosaic art and the experience of making your own mosaic. Materials will be supplied by ArtWorld Studio Gallery, covered by the material cost. Students may wish to bring their own images. You will be given a 30cm x 35cm board to create your own design - this board has multiple uses, including pictorial or domestic.
You will learn how to balance your image, which colours to use, drawing the image, and designing the final product. |
