Debi’s husband Paul had the “most catastrophic stroke” that doctors had ever seen. She visited him everyday for 18 months often driving 35mins in peak hour traffic to sit by his side for hours. When Doctors said that it was time to say goodbye, she coaxed him to come out of his coma and stay with her. He did and she walked him through rehab. When he made no progress, she fought to find him the best palliative care that she could. She kept him positive and this awful time, even bringing him home cooked meals and washing his clothes. He was only 57 when he passed away. He passed away a week before their 38th wedding anniversary.
